Reiki/Pilates with Kelly Chester: Terms and Conditions

 

Please read this document carefully before booking an appointment with me. In the interests of trying to ensure that your Reiki/Pilates experience is a positive one, it sets out what you can expect of me when I provide a Reiki/Pilates session, but also what I expect from you. By booking an appointment with me you are deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions (‘Ts & Cs’).

 

Definitions

In these Ts & Cs:

 

‘Appointment’                         means a pre-booked appointment comprising a Reiki/Pilates session provided by me to you

 

‘Client’/‘you’/‘your’                means the person wishing to purchase an Appointment from me

 

‘Me’/‘my’/‘mine’                     means Kelly Chester

 

‘Price’                                      is the total cost of the Session

 

‘Session’                                  means a session of Reiki/Pilates, of a duration to be agreed between us at the time you book your Appointment

 

1. Suitability for Reiki/Pilates

 

1.1       I recommend that you consult your doctor before booking an Appointment with me, if you are pregnant or trying to conceive, or if you have any unusual symptoms or a diagnosed medical problem. Do not cease or alter conventional treatment or medication for any reason without consulting your doctor.

 

1.2       Please contact me if you have any questions about your Appointment or Session.

 

2. Appointment Bookings and Payment

 

2.1       No Appointment booking requested by you will be deemed to have been accepted by me until confirmed verbally or by email by me.

 

2.2       The Price of your Session will be as quoted to you by me at the time that you book your Appointment.

 

2.3       I reserve the right to refuse any Appointment booking. In the event that you have already paid for such Appointment in advance, and where fault is not with you, a full refund will be given.

 

2.4       If you are a first-time client, I reserve the right to ask for payment of the Price in advance of your Appointment.

 

2.5       Except as provided for by Clause 2.4, the Price is to be paid by you to me in full immediately after the end of your Session by cheque or cash, unless otherwise agreed in advance. 

 

3.  Appointment Cancellations

 

3.1       Any Appointment cancelled or postponed by you within 24 hours of the start time of the scheduled Appointment, or any non-attendance by you at an Appointment, will be deemed a late cancellation, and you will be liable to pay the Price in full.

 

3.2       Minor illness, family or work commitments, or adverse weather conditions will not exempt you from a cancellation or postponement being deemed a late cancellation. Exemption from a late cancellation will be at my sole discretion.

 

3.3       Should I be the cause of a late cancellation, you may choose to receive a full refund of the value of the Session or book an alternative Appointment.

 

4. Your Obligations

 

4.1       If the Appointment is to be in your home, I ask that you:

 

·         are in your home, and ready for your Appointment any room before I arrive;

·         let me know as soon as possible if you know you will not be ready, or in, in time for your Appointment;

·         make a room available and clear sufficient space for me to work before I arrive. If you are unsure how to do this, please ask me in advance of your Appointment;

·         turn off, or silence any telephones, or any other audible or visual distraction (e.g. radios, TVs, computers) as soon as I arrive;

·         make suitable arrangements for childcare for the duration of your Session, if you have children;

·         make sure that anyone else in your home or at the time of your Session knows and understands that we are not to be disturbed or interrupted during your Session.

 

4.2       If the Appointment is to be at my house, I ask that you:

 

·         arrive 5 minutes before the start time of your Appointment;

·         let me know as soon as possible if you know you are not able to arrive in time for your Appointment;

·         turn off your mobile phone or any similar device when you arrive.

 

4. Liability

 

4.1       I will provide the Session to you to the best of my ability and, as far as reasonably possible, in accordance with the information provided by you. You understand and agree that I am not medically qualified and do not medically diagnose any condition or symptom, and that a Reiki Session is not intended in any way whatsoever as a diagnosis, prescription, treatment or cure for any disease or as a substitute for regular medical care.

 

4.2       I will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of these Ts & Cs by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of my obligations in relation to the Appointment or Session, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond my reasonable control.

 

5. Client Confidentiality

 

5.1       All personal information you disclose to me in relation to the Session will be treated as confidential by me. I will not use or disclose such information in any way whatsoever except with your prior written consent, or as required by law.

 

5.2       I reserve the right to refuse any Appointment booking in the interests of your and/or my safety.

 

6. General

 

6.1       These Ts & Cs will be binding to the exclusion of any other terms, agreements, or arrangements, whether written, oral, express or implied, between us.

 

6.2       No failure or delay by me in exercising any of my rights under these Ts & Cs will be deemed to be a waiver of that right, and no waiver by me of any breach of these Ts & Cs by you will be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.

 

6.3       No variation or qualification of these Ts & Cs will be binding upon me unless otherwise agreed in writing between us prior to the Appointment.
