Soul Mate |

I was single for many years and tried lots of different ways of meeting people. I did speed dating, internet dating and lots of Friday nights out. I then tried a work shop called meet your soul mate. We went through what women wanted in the new modern day society and I was asked to write a letter to your soul mate as if they are already in your life. It sounds strange but it helps you to work out what you want from a partner. This is what I wrote about a year and a half ago.
To My Soul Mate
I would like to thank you for being such a wonderful part of my life. You are funny, caring, and thoughtful and you sometimes know me better than I know myself. You can irritate me sometimes, but you always manage to make me laugh and see the funny side of life. You make me feel warm, loved, wanted, special and complete. I cannot imagine my life without you. I love the way you send me messages throughout the day when we are apart to let me know you are thinking about me. It really lights up my day.
I love being with you and cannot wait to see your lovely smile at the end of the day. I also love the way you hold me and make me feel safe and secure. You are strong and confident and you know what you want out of life. We accept each other’s quirks and weaknesses and help each other through life’s ups and downs.
Life does not seem so hard since you came into my life and made my life so beautiful and complete. You are a wonderful friend and partner. You are calm and connected and clever. You are able to communicate with me on all levels and you are not afraid to say what you are thinking about.
I love the way we talk about everything and nothing, as well as being comfortable saying anything. You make me feel desired and loved. I respect and love your form the bottom of my heart.

| Kelly, you read this to me over the phone a few months ago, it brought me to tears as you spoke your truth...and having a major impact on my psyche...going through the most difficult time of my life, it gave me hope as well as an understanding "be careful what you wish for you might get it!" You inspired me to write my own, although mine was a darn sight longer! It was a start, because I didn't know what kind of person I felt should enter into my life to complement me...so upon reading this again, the sheer impact of your heart felt words reminds me to take time to envision a soul mate that will be the light within my life... | That really gives hope. When I met you I could see you and Adam were so well matched, I thought you'd been seeing each other for years and you said it had only been 3 months. I'm going to give the letter a try. It also reminds me that I have to keep the faith ,thanks for that. Take care, Steve |
