The Reiki treatment is often experienced as a gentle, relaxing and medative treatment. The recipient lies on a treatment table and remains fully clothed. The Reiki Practitoner lightly places their hands in various positions over the body with each position being held for several minutes. During the session no pressure is exerted by the practitoner. This means that Reiki can be given to those recovering from surgery, the elderly and pregnant women. The whole body is treated to enable the energy to go to the source of imbalance and not just the manifesting symptoms. Each person's reaction to Reiki is unique and is somthing that needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
